I'm Christian Parisi, owner of the Local Fly Co. I've spent over 20 years in the fishing industry in retail, wholesale, and product development. I cut my teeth fishing Long Island Sound and the freestone rivers of Connecticut as a child on my best friend's 16' Dory skiff.  As a teenager I ventured out to the Farmington river and Upper Housatonic, learning how addictive the trout bum lifestyle really is! The last 15 years I have owned and managed conventional fishing and fly shops on the Cape and in CT, helped to develop tackle for national manufactures, and guided the waters of Cape Cod by both boat and shore. Chasing spring trout in clear streams and the adrenaline-pumping runs of albies and bonito in the fall are my addictions these days.

I opened The Local Fly Co because I saw a real need in the fly fishing world—an approachable, welcoming space where anglers of all levels could feel at home. Whether you're a seasoned pro with 50 years behind the reel or you're just walking in to buy your first rod and reel combo, we’re here to help you shorten the learning curve and deepen your love for the sport.
